Mag. Alexander Deopito has successfully completed our Certified Business Angel Program (CBA™) 2020 and has been officially certified as a CBA™ by incite. The Certified Business Angel – CBA™ – is a globally recognized certification for business angels according to ISO 17024.
Former CEO of LIDL AUSTRIA
Mr. Deopito is characterized by his professional experience as a top manager, his business acumen, as well as social competence. He was active in international management roles for many years, including 20 years in various executive positions at Lidl. After building up and opening Lidl Austria as CCO, he moved to the corporate headquarters in Germany.
Mr. Deopito acted as divisional director in purchasing for many years. In addition to responsibility for the purchasing companies of all Lidl countries, his focused on the opening of new Lidl national companies. Under his leadership, 13 national companies were opened throughout Europe. As CEO of Lidl Austria, he achieved his greatest success with the complete repositioning of Lidl Austria.
Since 2018, he has been the managing partner of Alexander Deopito Consulting KG and acts as an international retail and strategy expert. In addition, he regularly works as an expert for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in international projects. He contributes his knowledge and know-how to various companies as a supervisory board member and most recently as a business angel investor.
